The changing leaves, shorter days, and crisper air means that fall is officially upon us and so is the Central Ohio Section’s fall schedule. The October Luncheon was held virtually on October 22. Scott Tourville, Nate Lang, and Sophia Lanza of the City of Westerville presented on the City’sUptown Improvement Project. The $5 million project revitalized the City’s uptown business district improving walkability and access throughout. Attendees learned about interesting engineering aspects of the project including special bridging to save a legacy tree, the importance of flexibility during construction, and benefit of a robust public engagement plan. These factors, in addition to many others, lead to a successful project for the City and community. Thank you to the City of Westerville for presenting.
